From a young age, I was captivated by the intricacies of the business world. Whether it was observing my parents’ small business or being inspired by innovative entrepreneurs on television, I’ve always been drawn to understanding the mechanics behind successful enterprises. My passion for business management is not just about profit margins and market shares; it’s about understanding people, driving innovation, and making a tangible impact in the world.
During my A-level studies in Economics, Mathematics, and History, I’ve gained a solid foundation in analytical thinking, quantitative skills, and understanding societal changes. My coursework in Economics, particularly, has given me insights into the macroeconomic factors that influence business decisions. I was particularly intrigued by the case studies on business strategies during economic downturns, which highlighted the importance of adaptability and forward-thinking in the corporate world.
To complement my academic pursuits, I undertook an internship at Zelat, a local SME. This experience was invaluable, allowing me to witness firsthand the daily operations and challenges of running a business. I was entrusted with tasks such as analysing sales data, assisting in marketing campaigns, and even participating in strategy meetings.
